Jesus Christ never failed in His obedience to the Father's will. He was counted worthy to become 'the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world'.
Victory is ours because 'death' could not hold Him. The resurrected Son now sits as Priest and King ... it is through Him that we can approach the Father's throne. Jesus' role as Mediator is precious to all who war against the latent 'sin nature'. His righteousness cloaks us before a Holy God.
For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all ... 1 Timothy 2:5-6
The Son knows what we are experiencing as pilgrims in this fallen world. Therefore we can enter His Father's presence with confidence.
For we have not a High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. God is able to save forever those who draw near to Him through Christ, who lives to make intercession for us. Hebrews 4:15, 7:25
'Drawing near' is evidence of faith. By doing so, you demonstrate your trust in Jesus Christ as the ever-present Mediator for life itself.
Spurgeon - If you would be at peace with God, you must come to Him through Christ as 'the Way, the Truth, and the Life', making mention of His righteousness, and of His only.
Don't shy away.
Let us, therefore, come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16
He loves you ... abide in His presence.
