Does the certainty of the Judgment Seat of Christ impact your everyday life? Knowledge of this coming 'assessment' should shape our behavior; i.e. what we do, what we say, what we watch, etc. God would have us live with an 'eternal' perspective rather than a 'temporal' one.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
If indeed you have surrendered your life to His Lordship, Jesus' ministry is now 'your' ministry ...
Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18-19
The 'Great Commission' is God's call for lost men everywhere to come to Him with all their sins, all their griefs, all their burdens, and be reconciled to Him. We are to be the messengers of that divine call; proclaimers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ ...
Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:20-21
Because God so loved the world, He provided the only way 'reconciliation' could take place ... He allowed His Son to bear our sins on Calvary. As ambassadors for Christ, we are to share the Gospel and entreat men to accept the gift of salvation.
The Judgment Seat of Christ will examine all that we've done as believers. The very purpose of leaving us here on earth after we receive the gift of salvation is to perform the 'ministry of reconciliation' ... to bring the lost to the foot of the cross so that they too might be saved.
