OUT OF THE DARKNESS

From the moment Adam fell, the pall of sin has shrouded mankind in spiritual darkness. You were born into a reprobate world where iniquity is present in the heart of every human being ... 

For all have sinned, and fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23

But there is good news ... the Gospel of Jesus Christ. No matter how black your guilt-ridden 'darkness' is, no matter how grievous the sins of your past; God's love made a way out ...

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3:16-17

Your crestfallen heart is made new when you accept Jesus by faith. That which separated you from God was paid for on Calvary's cross ... His divine light floods your soul and darkness is dispelled forever. 

The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death, a light has dawned. Matthew 4:16

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. John 1:5

Unbelievers, on the other hand, hide from the truth found in Jesus' redemptive act ... 

They love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil. John 3:19

Satan, the god of this world, has blinded their minds, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel and the glory of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:4

Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him. Ephesians 4:18

There is a stark warning to those whose faith is built on shifting sand ... 

God is Light and in Him, there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. 1 John 1:5-6

After salvation, believers become beacons for Christ ...

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light. Ephesians 5:8 

Jesus came to save sinners and deliver them from spiritual darkness. Whatever you think disqualifies you from receiving God's grace, know that divine love overcomes it all. Christ bore every sin that broke your fellowship with His Father. 

If you have yet to accept Jesus Christ as Savior, surrender your life to Him and come 'out of the darkness'.
