The Bible uses the term glory to describe the 'shining forth' of God's divine nature. Our Lord's resplendent 'majesty', spotless 'perfection', and praise 'worthiness' are interwoven throughout Scripture.
In order for God to draw mankind to Himself, His glory had to be concealed because of its overwhelming power in the presence of sin. When Jesus Christ took on human form, God's glory was present yet 'veiled' by His Son's meek and gentle spirit.
The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
In these prophetic 'last days', God's eternal attributes of holiness, majesty, goodness, and love have been summarily rejected by a lost and dying world. Men have exchanged His Glory for idols of their own making ...
Claiming to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible mankind. Romans 1:22-23
But for those who are followers of Christ ... their eyes are open to God’s glory. They witness it in creation and are amazed at how wonderful He is.
The heavens tell of the glory of God; and their expanse declares the work of His hands. Psalm 19:1
