OF WHAT ARE YOU ASSURED

Jesus Christ conquered sin on Calvary's cross and broke down the wall of partition. Intimacy with the Father was made possible through faith in His Son ...

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

We are instructed to ...

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto Him, and bless His name. Psalm 100:4

When expressing our gratitude, we tend to focus on the material things we're blessed with, the good health we're experiencing, or the loved ones that grace our lives. These are wonderful ... but can vanish in a moment. Even in the most dedicated Christian life, a job can be lost, health can dwindle away, and death can intrude when least expected.

Considering the difficulties and calamities that can strip away the 'externals' of life, it behooves us to thank God for what cannot be taken ...

For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39

What you, as a believer, cannot lose:

• Eternal life
And I give unto them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (John 10:28)

• Forgiveness
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1John 1:9)

• God’s presence
I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (Hebrews 13:5)

Christ has won the victory over every force that seeks to derail your faith. His love is unfailing, unceasing, unchanging, and unconquerable. When you abide in Him, your soul finds rest ... even if the world falls apart around you.
