Many believe Jesus was a good teacher, an example of love, a great humanitarian, and an exceptional leader. Though His deity is confirmed throughout Scripture, today's preachers are hesitant to speak of Him as God.
Mainline denominations have reduced Christ to something more 'palatable' ... For the time will come when they will not tolerate sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance with their own desires. (2 Timothy 4:3)
Since organized religion has failed to present Jesus as God ... its adherents never truly surrender to His Lordship, their prayers are formulaic, and genuine worship doesn't take place.
Study the Bible:
He had the right to forgive sins (something only God can do) ... When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” (Mark 2:5)
He has final authority ... Christ Jesus, Who is to judge the living and the dead, by His appearing and His kingdom. (2 Timothy 4:1)
His Father spoke of Him ... Your throne, O God, will last forever and ever. (Hebrews 1:8)
Thomas (the 'doubter') confessed ... My Lord and my God! (John 20:28)
Paul confirmed His Deity ... looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. (Titus 2:13)
John stated ... In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:1,14).
Jesus turned water into wine, walked on water, healed the sick, multiplied the loaves and fishes, and raised people from the dead ... miracles that can only be accomplished by God. He also possesses the divine attributes of omnipresence, omniscience, and omnipotence.
