See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. (Ephesians 5:15-17)

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man. (Colossians 4:5-6)
It is said that man can 'mark time', 'waste time', and 'kill time' ... but only a born-again Christian can 'redeem time'. He is constantly aware of the brevity of this life ... a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. (James 4:14)
Wasting our days on frivolous pursuits that leave no lasting imprint can never satisfy a saved soul. The Word of God instructs us to ... 'do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit'. (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
We are to use our time wisely, taking advantage of every opportunity to serve the Lord and others.
God has placed in the heart of His beloved children a 'ticking clock'. Each passing second increases our anticipation of Christ's return (and our 'homegoing'). Because of this divinely imparted hope, we rejoice ...
