The Book of Psalms is a 'symphony of solace'. You hear its melodious chorus, and it tenderly embraces your wearied soul with divine insight and cherished hope:
- The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18)
- I will raise my eyes to the mountains; From where will my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. (Psalm 121:1-2)
- Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)
The apostle Paul heard that song and proclaimed ... I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18)
