The Bible describes the Lord as a place of safety for those who abide in Him. Christians can declare with full assurance ... My salvation and my honor depend on God; He is my mighty rock, my refuge. (Psalm 62:7)
Jesus Christ said, 'I am the way and the truth and the life'. (John 14:6)
That threefold statement is confirmed in the following verse ... His way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; He shields all who take refuge in Him. (Psalm 18:30)
There is absolutely no situation outside of His sovereign control ... yet many try to find security in what this sin-laden world has to offer. They unwittingly make ... a lie their refuge and falsehood their hiding place. (Isaiah 28:15)
If you've grown weary of that 'fight or flight' existence, Jesus' invitation is there for you ... Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)
Don't live in fear of that which threatens your well-being ... God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalms 46:1)
Divine protection flows freely from His 'throne of grace' ... Trust in Him at all times; pour out your heart before Him: God is a refuge for us. (Psalm 62:8)
Allow Him to be your sanctuary, pilgrim.
