Abraham's faith was tested when God commanded him to sacrifice Isaac upon Mount Moriah. Once proven, the Lord intervened and 'provided' a ram for the sacrifice.
Then Abraham looked up and glanced around, and behold, behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham named that place Jehovah Jireh or 'The Lord Will Provide'. Genesis 22:13-14
The story is prophetic in that it foresaw the cross on which God's only begotten Son would be sacrificed in our stead. Your salvation is secured when you accept Christ by faith and make Him the Lord of your life.
If your heavenly Father was willing to provide the 'Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world', can He not also be trusted with your daily needs?
He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things. Romans 8:32
Spurgeon - Jesus would not have you live in an anxious, worrying, depressed spirit as if you had no God ... left to drift about uncared for and alone.
And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you. Luke 12:29-31
The Lord is ... PROVIDER.
When we put faith in that profound truth, worry is dispelled and our faith is strengthened.
