There is a moral imperative that holds priority over all other decisions. It is the foundation upon which all subsequent choices are made ...
Is Jesus really the Lord of your life?
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: 1 Peter 3:15
To sanctify Christ in your heart is to recognize, worship, and honor Him as Lord. When He becomes your 'all in all', you are able to successfully respond to the challenges of this life.
Evidence that demonstrates you know Jesus as Lord ... the readiness with which you tell others about Him. If in your personal journey of faith, you have experienced the Savior's unconditional love and forgiveness, your testimony carries the hope for which a lost and dying world yearns.
How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation ... Isaiah 52:7
If a man has sanctified Christ as Lord and discovers that the hardness of his heart has been made pliable in God's hands, that the coldness he once showed toward others has turned to love, and that his selfish pride has given way to humble adoration ... he indeed has an answer for everyone who asks a reason for the hope that is in him.
Pilgrim, you should know what you believe and why you believe it. Be ready to explain it to someone else.
