SATISFIED AT LAST

When the Lord formed us in the womb, His overriding desire was that we would come to know Him. With this in mind, He placed in the soul of man a spiritual abyss. A God-shaped void was created that causes one's heart to ache until satisfied.

This intense longing causes mankind to seek for something to fill that empty chamber. It relentlessly echoes in the back of his mind and he tries anything and everything in an attempt to bring relief.

But the only thing that fits that space is Christ Himself.

As you, therefore, have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily, and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.  Colossians 2:6-10

Don't be led astray. Refuse to let the egocentric ideologies of a false prophet tickle your ears with some 'new' teaching or 'deeper' truth.

Jesus is our All-Sufficient One.

Spurgeon - In Christ, we enter into the fullness and completeness of life both materially and spiritually. Everything, then, must be in Christ if all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in him. Why do you want to go anywhere else for wisdom? What can you find by going elsewhere? For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. You have everything in Christ that you ought to want; you are fully furnished, completely supplied, and equipped for all future service. You need not go to Christ for the supply of some of your needs, and then go elsewhere for the supply of other needs; but, “ye are complete in him.”

We have a much deeper understanding of God because of the incarnation. We can experience a warm, personal connection with the Father through the 'fullness' displayed in His Son.

We beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.  John 1:14

Someone has said, "The kindest thing God ever did was to become a Man".
