As we interact with neighbors, friends, extended family, and the people with whom we work, there will be opportunities to introduce them to the Lord. To say or do anything that would detract from the Gospel of Jesus Christ must be avoided. If we approach every day with the spiritual welfare of others in mind, what they witness in our behavior will certainly have an impact.
Conduct yourselves with wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of the opportunity. Colossians 4:5
Outsiders are much more interested in your 'walk' than in your 'talk'. This does not mean that you shouldn't speak of Christ. The point is ... your walk should correlate with (and bring credibility to) your talk.
Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise. Ephesians 5:15
A Christian's conduct can have a powerful influence on an unsaved man. If someone sees in you a blessed and contented life superior to his own, there is a good chance that he will be drawn to you and inquire after its secret. This creates an opportunity to speak of the 'hope' that is found in Christ.
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the 'hope' that is in you with meekness and fear: 1 Peter 3:15
Into the life of every true follower of Christ, God providentially brings 'opportunities'. We must be spiritually prepared to redeem our Lord's divine appointments; for it is in those moments that the Holy Spirit makes us sensitive to His ministration.
It is critical that we prayerfully begin each day ready for such encounters.
