As we study scripture ... the word 'fear' can represent several things.
They will hear reports of you and will tremble and be in anguish because of you. Deuteronomy 2:25
Now fear the LORD and serve Him with all faithfulness. Joshua 24:14
I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty. Isaiah 6:5
When your spirit finally understands the power, might, beauty, and brilliance of God ... deep devotion and sincere commitment should be the result. Don't fall into the trap of redefining who He is in order to make your relationship with Him more comfortable.
The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear Him, in those that hope in His mercy. Psalm 147:11
It is true that Christ's death, burial, and resurrection made it possible for you to approach the 'Throne of Grace' with boldness ... but not without the reverence due Him.
Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. Psalm 100:4
Take the shoes from your feet, pilgrim ... for you are on holy ground.
