'Steadfast' means firmly fixed. In other words, nothing can keep you from His love.
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
Regardless of how often you come to Him for mercy, there is a new supply made available every morning. God will never cease holding onto you, even when your grip is weakened by doubt and shame. The Throne of Grace is forever approachable.
Be encouraged ... Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5
It would be good for you to commit these verses to memory for those 'dark nights', pilgrim.
