CHILD OF GOD

How is it with your heart this morning? Is this world's ever-increasing depravity weighing on you? Are you plumbing the depths of sorrow in your relationships? Do you suffer in the tabernacle of your physical body? Does grace seem to have been trampled underfoot? Fear not, Christian ... you are a 'child of God' and your Father's grip is strong.

What we are ... See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. 1 John 3:1

What we shall be ... Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. 1 John 3:2

What we should be ... All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:3

One day soon, we will be in the presence of the Lord Jesus, accompanied by all of our brothers and sisters in Christ. It is indeed an awe-inspiring truth ... that our childlike faith in His redemptive act has forever established our place in the family of God. For ... As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God: John 1:12

Be encouraged as you weather life's storms ... you are the Father's beloved child.
