TWO CAMPS

Jesus Christ's crucifixion is the most important event in all of history and it ultimately divided mankind into two camps. One represents unbelievers who arrogantly reject the Gospel, and the other consists of those who acknowledge their 'undoneness' outside of its saving power.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God. For it is written: “I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.” 1 Corinthians 1:18-19

Man revels in his intellectual acumen. He mistakenly believes he's in control of his own destiny and relies on 'rational-sounding' sophistry to conceal the lack of substance in his philosophic arguments. The simple historical truth of Christ-crucified is 'foolishness' to him, yet it remains the only thing that delivers sinful men from their lost condition.

As a believer ... You are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us Wisdom from God, and Righteousness, and Sanctification, and Redemption. 1 Corinthians 1:30

'Wisdom from God' ... He revealed the plan of salvation to you.
'Righteousness' ... He made you acceptable to a Holy God.
'Sanctification' ... He sets you apart for God.
'Redemption' ... He atoned for your sin.

Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. Jeremiah 17:7

This 'end-time' generation openly mocks Calvary's Cross as an absurd symbol of Christian 'foolishness'. But those who surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ are saved from the penalty of sin, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and given the promise of eternal life.

Indeed ... there exists 'two camps', forever divided by their response to the Gospel.
