If we have placed our faith in Jesus Christ's redemptive act and surrendered to His Lordship, the Word of God says we are identified as follows ...
You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. 1 Peter 2:9-10
Spurgeon - These are wonderful epithets that are here heaped upon believers. May we have the grace to be able to appropriate them, and to expound them in our lives. What a high office, and, consequently, what a solemn responsibility is ours.
Because our lives are hidden in Christ, we have these divine 'identifiers'.
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. Galatians 2:20
Who are we? ... 'CHRISTIANS'
