OUR TRIUNE GOD

Scripture declares that there is one true God, yet He is the union of three distinct persons ... Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Each is called 'God':

The Father ... You were chosen according to the purpose of God the Father and were made a holy people by his Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and be purified by his blood. 1 Peter 1:2

The Son ... Thomas said to Him, 'My Lord and my God'. Then Jesus told him, 'Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed'. John 20:28-29

The Holy Spirit ... But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit. You have not lied to men but to God." Acts 5:3-4

Moreover, each possesses the attributes of Deity ... omnipresent (everywhere at once), omniscient (all knowing), and omnipotent (all powerful).

There is 'three-in-oneness' within the Godhead. Just prior to his ascension, Jesus told the disciples, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19) The word 'name' in this passage is singular in the original Greek, indicating that there is indeed 'one' God.

Paul expresses this 'oneness' in this trinitarian farewell ... The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. 2 Corinthians 13:14

1. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ … Note, not Jesus ... but 'Lord' Jesus. How reverently that peerless Name is uttered. His grace paved the way for your redemption.

2. The love of God … The Father's undying love is constantly with you because of your faith in His Son.

3. The communion of the Holy Ghost … He is by your side. You are beautifully linked to Him ... He is the Comforter of your soul.

Don't allow the 'doctrines of men' to corrupt your understanding and acceptance of the 'Trinity' aspect of the Lord. Both Mormon and Jehovah Witness teachings deny this truth, purposefully redefining God to suit their vain egocentric religious beliefs.
