YOUR WORTH

How do you determine the value of something? Is it not by the price someone is willing to pay for it? Your worth as a human being has been established by that principle ...

1. The Lord has always cherished you. Even before the world was made, God chose you for Himself because of His love.  Ephesians 1:4

2. He desired you to be His child. God decided in advance to adopt you into his own family by bringing you to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
Ephesians 1:5

3. Your adoption came at a high price ... the death of His Son. In Him you have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace  Ephesians 1:7

If you base your worth on how your life compares to those you consider successful ... physical appearance, worldly possessions, and notable accomplishments become the standards by which you are measured. That is not your true essence in God's eyes.

For you are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that you should walk in them.  Ephesians 2:10

You are not qualified to place a value on yourself. The Lord has already done so; the cost of your redemption was high.

But God demonstrates His own love toward you, in that while you were still a sinner, Christ died for you.  Romans 5:8

God so loved you that He sent Jesus to bear your sin on Calvary's cross. The Father desires that you live with a clear understanding that your value is in His Son, not in how the world sees you.

For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are His.  1 Corinthians 6:20

Allow the gift of salvation to be a constant reminder that you were wonderfully made and forever loved by God.
