On the sixth and final day of creation, God finished His work in a most profound and personal way. He had already made everything we see ... the sun, the moon, the stars, the earth, the plants, the animals, (and the perfect system by which they would coalesce).
But the pinnacle of His handiwork was going to be 'MAN'. Not only did God form Adam in an exclusive manner, but He poured His own breath into him ...
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being. Genesis 2:7
Man is unique among all of God’s creations ... possessing not only a physical body but an eternal soul. Everything else was lovingly made for mankind to enjoy, (not to be worshipped above the Creator as environmentalists now do).
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27
According to the inerrant Word of God, human beings are either male or female. The sexes are made distinct and separate. We are not the result of 'mindless' evolution ... therefore the difference between a man and a woman is well-defined (and quite obvious based on the 'plumbing').
The creation account in Genesis provides the basis for gender distinction and one's sexuality. This is particularly relevant in an age when 'satanically-propagated' confusion concerning gender identity exists (viewed by the reprobate mind as an 'optional' trait).
The further away from the Designer a society goes, the further away it moves from the 'Design'.
Outside of a relationship with Jesus Christ, men struggle to understand who they are and for what purpose they were born. The secular imagination invents ego-centric reasons for life, that can only end in despair.
To those of you who wrestle with 'uncertainty' ... know that God created you and loved you enough to send His Son to bear your iniquity on Calvary's cross. Where better to look for your true 'essence' than in the One who formed you?
We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
If the theory of evolution is true and the Lord is not the source of the created universe, it calls into question His power to 'recreate' us. If you receive the gift of salvation you are immediately transformed from God's 'creation' into God's 'child'.
The Biblical record of mankind's 'beginning' strengthens, undergirds, and substantiates our faith.
