JOY UNSPEAKABLE

There exists a divinely imparted joy that defies all human efforts to fully understand or to express in words. It runs contrary to that which believers actually experience in this fallen world.

That the trial of your faith (being much more precious than gold that perisheth, though it is tested with fire) might be found unto praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen, ye love. In Him, though now ye see Him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:7-9

The prophesied 'end of days' is here and evil is not only tolerated but applauded. Christianity is vilified and followers are ridiculed, attacked, and in some cases ... martyred for their faith.

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39

You can find this inexpressible joy, even as you go through the rigorous process of your sanctification ...

Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. James 1:2-3

The hope that exists in the heart of a Christian has its roots in what took place on the day of his redemption. The tongue can never adequately express the sweet comfort and peace that comes when the burden of sin is lifted from one's soul. The joy of salvation is hard to hide ...

Be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you ... 1 Peter 3:15

Though news reports are filled with stories of natural disasters, casualties of wars, corruption in politics, threats of disease, reprobate lifestyles, random shootings, etc ...  'joy' goes unthwarted in the life of a true believer who knows that this is not the end, that God is still in control, and that our Savior's return is imminent.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Walk in joy unspeakable ...
