HE REMEMBERS OUR FRAME

The Bible reveals that Adam was created from 'dust' ... the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7

Though man was made in God's image, with the fall came the curse of mortality ... Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, so death spread to all mankind because all sinned. Romans 5:12 

Consequently: We are born into sin, we mature, we labor, we grow old, we break down, we wear out, and we die ... From dust, we came, and to dust shall we return. By the sweat of your brow, you will eat your food until you return to the ground since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return. Genesis 3:19

But ... true believers have been given a precious promise. Through the death, burial, and resurrection of God's Son, atonement was made on our behalf. One day we will go home and have a body like His ...

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; who will transform the body of our lowly condition into conformity with His glorious body, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself. Philippians 3:20-21

In the meantime, we are not only physically fragile ... but weakened by sin. 

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, He remembers our frame ... that we are dust. Psalm 103:13-14

By His amazing grace, He will raise us in power and glory ... no longer subject to the flaws that define our current existence. The carnal 'sin nature' that has hindered our ability to fully serve the Lord on earth, will be gone. We will be free to praise, serve, and glorify Him for eternity. 

He is worthy ...
