An abrupt end to the age of grace is fast approaching and 'Postmodernism' has captured the heart and mind of this generation. It is the intellectual notion that ... there is no such thing as truth; all knowledge comes by way of human supposition and so truth does not exist as an independent reality.
But 'truth' is real ... even when nobody believes it.
When there are no absolutes, chaos reigns. We are witnessing an 'end justifies the means' code of ethics, an agenda promoting 'gender fluidity', and churches that no longer believe in the inerrancy of Scripture.
So ... what is Truth?
Here is what it is NOT ...
• Truth is not what makes you feel good. Bad news can still be true.
• Truth is not defined by purpose. Good intentions can be wrong.
• Truth is not 'how' you know something ... but 'what' you know.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14
Jesus said I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6
These verses probably offend those who claim that many roads lead to God. Men glory in their open-minded approach to religion. (a feigned respect for the beliefs of others)
'Truth' IS ...
• Jesus died on the cross to atone for our sins.
• Jesus was victorious over death and the grave.
• Jesus now intercedes for us at the right hand of God.
