PRIVILEGED INFORMATION

The following verse has commonly been seen as referencing the wonders we'll encounter in heaven one day ...

But as it is written, 'Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him'. 1 Corinthians 2:9

Though we can confidently apply these words to future glory, they actually mean something more. Paul has been speaking about the wisdom of God found in Jesus Christ. The unregenerate mind cannot comprehend the truths found therein ...

But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14

When the door of one's heart is not open to the Holy Spirit's visitation, the message of the cross is rejected as nonsense. But to those who by faith welcome Him in, divine wisdom is supernaturally understood and proven to be true.

God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 1 Corinthians 2:10

Long before the world existed, God chose to send His Son to die in our stead. Plumbing the depths of what that means for everyday life is 'privileged information' ... granted only to those who love Him. Many who profess to trust the Lord for salvation search for discernment and insight in all the wrong places

These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules. Matthew 15:8-9

Proof that Christ abides within ... eyes that see, ears that hear, and a heart surrendered to His Lordship.
