FOOLISHNESS

Only the Gospel of Jesus Christ can deliver a lost soul. The beauty of the life-giving message is ... it requires no 'qualifiers' (intelligence, ability, power, status).

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8–9

Mockers see our Savior's death, burial, and resurrection as religious fiction. They arbitrarily reject the Biblical account of Calvary's redemptive act because it conflicts with their 'human wisdom' ...

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18

The plan of salvation is so simple that atheistic 'intellectuals' not only reject the premise but, in many cases, aggressively attack the Gospel in a vain attempt to refute it.

Paul explained ... Where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? Since God in His wisdom saw to it that the world would never know Him through human wisdom, He has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe. (1 Corinthians 1:20-21)

That which saves a man's soul does not come through his ability to reason. You cannot 'think' your way to heaven ...

The wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile. 1 Corinthians 3:19-20

All that's necessary for you to experience God's forgiveness is to believe the simple truth ... that salvation is yours for the claiming, regardless of 'pedigree'.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Faith in Christ is considered 'foolishness' by those who scoff at the need for a Savior. They don't know that there is a 'too late' point in time when ... every knee shall bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue will confess and openly acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:10-11)

It is not 'foolish' to surrender to Him now ... during the age of grace.
