Every human being lives in God’s presence and by His enablement ... whether they recognize it or not.
As such, we are and always will be accountable unto Him ... For in Him we live and move and have our being. (Acts 17:28)
In Him, we live ...
No other words more perfectly express our utter dependence on God. He is the original fountain and source of life ... God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. Nor is He worshiped with men’s hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. (Acts 17:24-25).
In Him, we move ...
Our physical and spiritual vitality, comes from God. Even to perform the slightest motion, we are completely dependent on Him. ... He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. (Isaiah 40:29-31)
In Him, we have our being ...
In God, you are held together. He gave you your unique genetic blueprint. Inside each cell is a DNA code that contains every secret to your physical existence ... You created my innermost parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. (Psalm 139:13,16)
Let’s not think of ourselves as 'independent contractors' ... because we’re not. It is the Lord who sustains us day by day.
For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:36
