Our modern world is geared toward instant gratification. Waiting is difficult and unpopular in today’s culture ... but God doesn’t operate on our schedule. His perspective, plans, and timing are perfect and holy.
Therefore believers are commanded to ... Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. (Psalm 27:14)
We must be confident of who God is and what He is capable of doing. Those who do not know the Lord will not wait on Him; neither will those who fail to trust Him.
'Waiting' may mean going without answers to prayer, wondering why the wicked seem to prosper, and having desires delayed and hope deferred. When the Lord is silent and our trust in His goodness is tested, the Word of God is there to encourage us ...
But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
You understand 'saving faith', pilgrim ... but there is also 'waiting faith'. When faced with dire circumstances, you can rely on the record of what God has done in the past rather than impatiently attempting to resolve the situation in your own strength ...
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5,6
There is no need to grope aimlessly in a desperate search for immediate answers. You serve a 'promise-keeping' God ... Trust Him.
