The following are rock-solid, unequivocal commitments made by God Himself. Because the Lord is faithful, you can be sure that what He has pledged will always be fulfilled ...
1. I will be with you
Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. (Hebrews 13:5)We are not alone. There is nowhere God's children can go that He is not with them. Regardless of what we may be going through spiritually, the Lord is present ... beckoning us to higher ground and transforming us into the likeness of His Son.
2. I will protect you
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)The Lord goes before us, preparing the way as we navigate the uncharted waters of a lost and dying world. God shields us from danger and bridges the gap between 'fear' and 'faith'. His divine oversight proves steadfast and true.
3. I will be your strength
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)He is there to revitalize every aspect of our being (body, mind, and spirit) so that we can face the battle at hand. When believers fully surrender their lives to His Lordship, they find that Jesus is their strength in times of weakness.
4. I will answer you
Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things. (Jeremiah 33:3)Scripture clearly teaches that prayer is acknowledged by God. Sometimes His answer is 'yes', sometimes it is 'no', and sometimes it is 'wait' ... but the Lord always responds. Every redeemed soul is proof positive that He answers prayer.
5. I will provide for you
But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided to you. (Matthew 6:33)When we prioritize the 'spiritual' over the 'material' it removes the worry of not having enough. We may not get all that we want, but we will always have what we need. Faith in God as 'Jehovah-Jireh' is rewarded.
6. I will give you peace
The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)This is a precious gift, an overwhelming sense of 'well-being' that floods the soul of those who abide in Christ ... a constant reminder that He is in control and knows what is best for us.
7. I will always love you
Nothing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:39)This is difficult for us to comprehend. When we look at our spiritual journey, so often filled with fluctuating feelings and wavering convictions ... the idea that God's love is undaunted by our 'frail faith' is astounding.
Know that these are but a few of the wondrous truths that confirm that your faith in Christ is well-placed.
Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. (2 Corinthians 7:1)
Trust Him.
