STRONGHOLDS

We have an enemy who seeks to suppress the Gospel message by building thick-walled fortresses in the minds of men. These 'strongholds' are constructed to keep intruders out ... and prisoners in. 

Christians are equipped to bring these 'citadels of evil' to the ground ...  For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. (2 Corinthians 10:3-4) 

Satan's depraved philosophies, blatant lies, and immoral schemes are the 'bricks-and-mortar' that must be destroyed ... casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5)

Even after you've accepted Christ as Savior, old 'strongholds' may be so deeply rooted that your walk of faith is compromised. You have an adversary who wants to sabotage your 'intimacy' with the Lord by bringing to mind the guilt and shame of past sin. He is ... the accuser of our brethren. (Revelation 12:10)

You are to fight the good fight of faith, breach the walls of the fortress, and demolish every bastion of error. Enter the ruins and lead captive every false theory and egocentric philosophy that has asserted itself in your life.

Let nothing deter you ... Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)

Allow the Holy Spirit to identify the stronghold that troubles your mind. Then, in His power ... pull it down.
