Your sufficiency as a believer depends entirely on Christ's sufficiency as Lord. If you've placed confidence in anything other than His finished work, your sins have not been forgiven ... period.
If Jesus does not represent 'everything' to you ... He is 'nothing' to you.
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. (Colossians 2:9-10)
The egocentric 'doctrines of men' have corrupted today's church.
False religions gain devoted followers by tapping into man's prideful nature. They teach that mankind plays a role in its own salvation through obedience to the spiritual laws of their belief system ...
For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. (Romans 10:3-4)
The Word of God sees them for what they are ... Blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. (Matthew 15:14)
Jesus Christ fulfilled everything on your behalf. After you receive Him as Lord and Savior, you're secured as a child of God. You begin to walk by faith in His finished work and learn that obedience is in Him and through Him ...
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)
False churches put the onus on you, but even strict obedience to their conditions can never satisfy the debt accrued by your past, present, and future sins.
You are not alone in the struggle, pilgrim. Your ability to resist temptation and to walk by faith comes from Him ... I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13)
Cast aside anything that says He is not enough.
'Jesus paid it all ... all to Him you owe'.
