As a believer, you often stumble in your personal walk of faith. Because of those missteps, you may question whether God's love for you is truly unwavering. Doubt comes when you mistakenly think your relationship with the Lord is based on an ability to obey the divine precepts put forth in Scripture.
Jesus did that for you ...
For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39
Those threats cannot separate you from God's love ...
Death ... Because of Adam's fall, we are all born spiritually dead. If we remain in that state until we physically die, we face eternal separation from God. But, if we are made alive in Christ, death is not the end but the beginning of eternal blessing.
Life ... The ever-present distractions of our earthly existence test every true believer. God's love compels us to persevere ... for even our failures serve as reminders of His abundant grace and forgiveness.
Angels ... These created servants of God minister physical protection and divine provision to believers. Even they cannot separate us from His love if indeed it was their wont.
Principalities and Powers ... The spiritual forces of evil have dominion over the earth and hate God's people. In the same way that they failed to hold Christ in the grave, they absolutely have no power to separate us from His love.
Things present, Things to come, nor Height, nor Depth ... The physical forces of time and space cannot sever His love from us. Nothing in our past, nothing in our present, and nothing in our future can negate it. No matter where our journey of faith takes us, God's unfailing love is already there.
Security and peace come from your faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ ... that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19
Steadfast is His love for you, pilgrim. Walk therein ...
