A WALK NOT WASTED

Your time here on earth is God's gift; only He knows how much you've been allotted. Every decision you make as a believer has a profound spiritual impact. Rather than wasting your days on this world's frivolous pursuits, you are instructed to make the most of what time you have.  Scripture tells us how to live with eternity in mind ...

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:15-16

There is a constant barrage of deceptive forces; you must be diligent with each step you take. 'Fiery missiles' from the enemy seek to make us doubt the goodness and sufficiency of 'God's way', tempting us to walk down some 'errant path' ...

Take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Ephesians 6:16

Seize every moment and use it for God’s glory. Think through your plans and make sure they align with God’s plan ...

Make the most of every opportunity. Colossians 4:5

Distractions were as prevalent in Jesus' day as they are now, but He let none of them deter His mission. Though He only lived 33 years in the world, Christ changed it forever because He 'redeemed the time'.

Tomorrow may not come. As Christians, we should 'live like we are dying' and diligently pursue the will of God. Start every morning by committing your day to the Lord. Ask Him to lead you toward that which has eternal significance.

Remember ... your earthly life is no more than a passing vapor. Your money and possessions will be given to others. Your job will be filled by someone else. Your family may remember you with fondness but move on with lives that don’t include you.

In the end, all that matters is what you did (or did not do) for God.
