Walking with God is not an activity reserved for a select few. The Lord desires all of His children to 'walk with Him'. Every believer should have an intimate relationship with his Creator ... it is not to be filtered through a preacher, a teacher, a priest, or some religious doctrine of men.
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God. Micah 6:8
What happens when you take a peaceful walk with a dear friend? You talk openly, laugh at times, listen quietly, and share heartfelt concerns. Time passes quickly as you enjoy the camaraderie born out of love and trust.
The Christian experience should be like that (and more). 'Walking with God' is evidence that you have entered into a saving relationship with Him ... marked by an unbroken worshipful communion with your Lord.
'Walking with God' requires letting go of everything that cripples the attempt. If you earnestly desire to be in step with Him ... bringing sinful habits, worldly entertainment, or unhealthy relationships into His presence prevents fellowship. You and God must be 'in one accord' when it comes to your life's spiritual condition ...
Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? Amos 3:3
If you love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind ... your desire will be to please Him; surrender that brings about a divine transformation.
For those whom he foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son ,,, Romans 8:29
'Christ in you' will be reflected in your thoughts, your actions, your motivations, and your choices when you place your life under His Lordship. It is not difficult to identify those who 'walk with God'. They stand out from the world around them.
And they are ready to explain 'why' to a lost and dying world ...
Set Christ apart as Lord in your hearts and always be ready to give an answer to anyone who asks about the hope you possess. 1 Peter 3:15
Find comfort and strength in His nearness ...
