The world has become very dark and chaotic. We live in the prophesied 'last days'.
But know this, that in the 'last days' perilous times will come: 2 Timothy 3:1
Morality has been turned on its head ...
Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Isaiah 5:20
Christians are not granted immunity from the effects of this storm ... but we have a choice in how we react to it. We can either fret and fume over the things we are witnessing or rest in the Lord.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear. Psalms 46:1-2
It is as if the Lord is saying, 'I've got this' ...
Be still, and know that I am God. Psalms 46:10
When you trust that His protection is yours, peace will be evident in your thoughts, words, and deeds. You become a living testimony of God's grace and power.
Christians often interpret the command 'be still' as 'be quiet in God’s presence'. Quietness is certainly advantageous at times, but the phrase actually means to stop your frenetic activity ... in other words, 'calm down'.
Find comfort in the fact that God is 'all-knowing' and 'all-powerful' ... nothing escapes His purview. When living in this fallen world brings anxiety, lay down your weapons, run to the Lord, and fall into His arms.
