THE IMMUTABLE SON OF GOD

In a world of constant upheaval and change, the Lord remains steadfast and true ... the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8)

Jesus was not just some historical figure who briefly rose in popularity and then faded into oblivion. He has always existed ...

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:1,14)

Christ is the 'Alpha and Omega' -

He created all things in the past ... For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him. (Colossians 1:16)

He upholds all things in the present ... The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. (Hebrews 1:3)

He will recreate everything in the future ... He who sits on the throne said, 'Behold, I am making all things new'. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away. (Revelation 21:1,5)

At the center of human history stands the Cross of Calvary, without which mankind would have no hope. By putting your faith in the Immutable Son of God, your salvation is secured for eternity. No sin, distress, or complication will ever cause Him to abandon you. Jesus' love is unremitting, therefore be confident for ... He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion. (Philippians 1:6)

This ever-changing world can no longer chain you to your past ... for like the old hymn says, 'the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace'.
