Most of the world believes everything happens by choice or by chance ... completely independent from God's divine pre-eminence.
But Scripture unveils the truth to those who desire to know the meaning of life. Though our finite minds can never fully understand the attributes of omniscience, omnipresence, omnipotence, and divine oversight ... we are to continually pursue knowledge of (and fellowship with) our Creator.
Before you can truly surrender your life to God's sovereign care, you must accept the fact that He alone is in charge of every creature, event, and circumstance. Nothing else can bring confidence to the decision to believe and accept His forgiveness for sin.
Subject to none and influenced by none ... God does what He pleases, only as He pleases, and always as He pleases. Everything that happens is either caused (or permitted) by Him so that His perfect will is accomplished.
The Lord of hosts has sworn, saying, ‘Surely, as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, And as I have purposed, so it shall stand'. Isaiah 14:24
God has resolved to do what He will do, and nothing and no one stands in His way.
I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please. Isaiah 46:10
Your will is only free to the extent that God allows it ... and no farther.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
It brings comfort and alleviates fear in the heart and mind of the believer.
You were in the mind of God from eternity past. He purposed Satan’s rebellion, Adam’s sin, the fall of mankind, and ultimately ... the death, burial, and resurrection of His only begotten Son so that you might be saved by faith in Him.
He is in charge and loves you, pilgrim.
