TO GOD BE THE GLORY

To glorify God, we must extol His attributes, praise His works, trust His name, and obey His Word. The Lord is holy, faithful, merciful, gracious, loving, majestic, sovereign, powerful, and omniscient. His works are wonderful, wise, marvelous, and fearfully complex. 

Fanny Crosby's hymn 'To God Be The Glory' (first published in 1875) expresses it beautifully.

 

To God be the glory

Great things He has done

So loved He the world that He gave us His Son

Who yielded His life an atonement for sin

And opened the life gate that all may go in

Through His Son's sacrifice, we are reconciled to God, and our lives are transformed ... filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. (Philippians 1:11) 

Not only are we to glorify God with praise and thanksgiving, but through our service ... Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). 

Our earthly tabernacle is to bring glory to the Lord ... Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. (1 Corinthians 6:19–20) 

Examine your walk of faith to see if it truly brings glory to God ... for He is Worthy
