THE UNSEARCHABLE RICHES OF CHRIST

Try as we might, we can never plumb the depths of Jesus' worth to a lost and dying world. Paul was called to spread the Gospel and proclaim the sufficiency of Christ for every aspect of this transitory life ...

To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 3:8-9)

'Unsearchable' means boundless in scope, something that cannot be fully comprehended or explored. In other words, there is no limit to the riches of Christ ... they are past finding out.

Ephesians 1:7-14 lists some of the benefits of a life surrendered to His Lordship ...

In Christ, you have redemption through His blood.
In Christ, you have forgiveness of sins.
In Christ, you have knowledge of His will.
In Christ, you have the message of truth.
In Christ, you have been sealed by the Holy Spirit.
In Christ, you have a guaranteed inheritance.

These all have lasting benefits for every soul who receives the gift of salvation. So great are the gains, that our finite minds cannot conceive of their divine power ... Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him. (1 Corinthians 2:9)

It is impossible to trace the 'unsearchable riches of Christ' with our limited 'earth-bound' ability to analyze and discern. They represent the Glory of God, the Truth of God, the Life of God, and the Love of God (which are all beyond our 'ken') But ... We have Christ, in Whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. (Colossians 2:3)

That which is found in an intimate relationship with your Savior is inexhaustible and eternal. It transforms you into His likeness and allows you to successfully navigate this fallen world as a 'sojourner' ... on his way home.
