The source of mankind's salvation is the Lord.
For by grace, you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. (Ephesians 2:8)
Many are burdened by a 'religious yoke of bondage' because they have turned their back on that fundamental truth. A new corrupt form of Christianity is leading people away from the Gospel of Jesus Christ to an 'inward-looking' false faith.
These people draw near to Me with their mouths and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me. In vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. (Matthew 15:8-9)
The sufficiency of Jesus' atoning sacrifice on Calvary's cross is being disavowed by preachers who've turned the pulpit into a bully platform ... issuing manmade rules of conduct they deem necessary to be at peace with God.
Believing you can negotiate salvation through works of the flesh denies the sovereignty of God's Son. If Jesus is not Lord 'of all', He is not Lord 'at all' ... Salvation is in no one else, for there is no other Name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
Not only was Christ 'sufficient' to pay your sin debt, He was 'sufficient' to expunge your biographical profile before a Holy God. Vain attempts to accomplish it in your own strength fail ... By one offering He has perfected forever them that are His. In Him, you have been made complete. (Hebrews 10:14, Colossians 2:10)
Satan's weapon of choice these days is 'religion'. Therefore scripture admonishes believers to ... Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1)
