EVERY KNEE

According to the Word of God, those who refuse to acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord will eventually do so at the final judgment. Their trembling knees will buckle and their words will speak a profound truth ... but it will be too late.

This passage is a clear indication of what will occur at the Second Coming of Christ ...  God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:8-11)

In the first advent, He came and died a humiliating death on Calvary's cross as payment for man's sin (the Just for the unjust). In the second advent, Christ will come in great power as the Conquering King.

Spurgeon - Consider Him that endured such contradiction of sinners against Himself lest ye be weary and faint in your minds; for though he was once abased and despised, yet now He sitteth at the right hand of God, and reigns over all things.

The urgent message for those living in the 'here and now' is to heed this warning ... Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. (Hebrews 3:7-8, 2 Corinthians 6:2)

Not one knee will go unbent ... or one tongue muted.

Those who know Christ as Savior will worship Him, for their grateful hearts cannot do otherwise. The lost will see Him face to face and acknowledge His Lordship from a position of utter ruin and deep regret.
