Religion has become Satan's weapon of choice.
Churches have become 'politically correct' social gatherings with leaders who fail to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, unwilling to challenge wayward souls with the hard truths found therein. They are ... lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God - having a form of godliness but denying its power. (2 Timothy 3:4-5)
Telling the difference between true believers and 'religious facsimiles' has to do with the location of the heart ... These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. In vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. (Matthew 15:8-9)
Their devotion is to a religious system, not the God it is meant to honor.
